Abstract

In the middle of application-based transportation service industry growth in Indonesia, companies has some difficult situation to control their drivers competencies once they hired. We highlighted the safety-riding behavior such as the inconsiderate and non-compliance with traffic signs behaviors by the drivers as the main issue that commonly critized by society. On this situation, Go-Jek as the leading application-based transportation service company tried to reminds their drivers about the importance of safety-riding behavior by launched Jo-Jek advertisement on Youtube, and it is integrated to any other social media platform for the short version. Even it looked as a brilliant attempt, yet this strategy does not seem so effective because we found the drivers only noticed the entertain side of this ad. At this moment we tried to re-showed this ad to the Go-Jek drivers community, as the straighten up attempted to bring back the main purpose of this public service ad. When we collected the data, we put some direct  questions about how influential this Jo-Jek ad to remind the drivers about the importance of safety-riding behavior. Our research used the quantitative method by spreading a cross-sectional questioner designed model to a hundred samples of Go-Jek drivers in Depok area.
